    <title>Company History</title>
<para>I started DLA Systems in 1981. I have always been
involved in interesting and challenging facets of the PC World.
When I started PC's were called Micro Computers, and being
    called a hacker was a compliment.</para>
<para>I designed built and sold hard disk systems for PC's
before hard disk support was available from Operating systems
vendors. This often required modifying the Operating systems or
developing drivers and.or firmware. When Hard disk support was
added I provided support for substantially larger volumes than
were supported by PC OS's - again writing systems software as
needed to overcome operating systems limitations. As the limits
increased so did the additional capacities I wase able to
    provide.</para>
<para>I developed CAD software prior to the release of MSDOS
and have sold CAD systems since 1981. One of the early CAD
systems I developed ran on a 6502 with 4K of memory and
performed realtime 3D geometric transforms using an
Oscilliscope and chart recorder as output.</para>
<para>I was economically networking PC's prior to the formation
of Novell. My current networking experience includes
internetworking and wireless lans and long distance wireless
bridges. On the software side I have developed software using
most network protocols, and implimented several. Including an
embedded orbless implimentation of CORBA in 20K of
    memory.</para>
<para>I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with decades
of experience. I also have decades of unix experience, and have
been involved with Linux prior to version 2.0. DLA Systems
projects have ranged from hardware and software design for
microcontrolers through business accounting and database
    systems.</para>
